ABOUT US

Our Mission

We strive to aide and advocate for artists and survivors of trauma through providing a sanctuary to release, create & collaborate.

We can build a creative sanctuary, sponsored by the community that can connect, teach, and advocate for the community; a hub of healing and learning for the people, by the people.

In this space, you can find resources and connections to justice and peace; artists and survivors of trauma can be free to express through a wide range of art forms, as well as get in touch with agencies that can advocate for them.

The problem we face is a high demand for trauma recovery and an even higher supply of trauma being delivered. Our community needs more spaces to release, transform and expel the traumas they harbor.

If we do not address this issue, the cost could be life threatening.

CURRENTLY...

We are in the first phase of this project which means we will be mostly focused on hosting events, being involved in the community, fundraising and doing our best to provide as many bridges as we can.

We are building a strong team of caring and creative individuals and entities who strive to cultivate a healthy and happy community. We are always looking to expand and collaborate! If you would like more information about how to join our team,

please visit our team page and fill out the questionnaire. If you have questions or difficulty, contact us

CSSJ will be hosting a virtual community event on Thursday, February 15th, at 6pm that I will be present for. I'd love to see you there!

Until we've posted the newsletter, this may be a space that I can share with you the background of why this project is personally important to me and the background of how it came about.

Next month, SxSW is coming to Austin, and local talent will be coming to W 6th St. March 15th. We're preparing to be involved with the event, taking over set design. Come out to support the performers and vendors showcased. You don't want to miss this event!

We are currently planning for Summer and Fall charity events, and scouting potential spaces for artist showcases, and collaboration.

More details to come as these projects progress :)

IN THE FUTURE...

The future is looking bright!

We have artists spread across the states and hope to involve more beyond the border and seas.

We hope to be able to build a sanctuary in every time zone!

In the next few years, we will be working diligently to host events, spread awareness, make connections, and acquire a permanent space to call our own!

As a new non-profit organization, we are largely funded by donors, the community and fundraising events. Each season, we will be hosting charity events, markets, and showcases for different causes and artforms.

Any donation is greatly appreciated!

You may remain anonymous if you'd like, however, at the end of every year,

we will hold a gala in honor of our donors.

If you would like to sponsor a specific area of our studio,

please contact us and we can talk more in-depth about your focus and vision.

Visit our donation page, to find out more ways to help!
